About Us
We understand nonprofits and have a deep appreciation for the impact nonprofits have in the communities they serve. Our team is a group of dedicated, experienced wealth advisors and we take pride in helping nonprofits advance their mission and meet their financial goals. Every team member serves on nonprofit boards, helping us understand the dynamics of the board, the partnership with staff leadership and the financial needs of nonprofits.
Our clients see us as trusted advisors and thoughtful listeners who offer strategic guidance on financial matters. Over the years we have worked as partners with dozens of nonprofits, growing and stewarding relationships that last for decades. We have helped nonprofits grow endowments, plan for operations, expansions and secure future sustainability.
RBC Wealth Management is a U.S. Corporation, wholly owned by the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), the fifth largest bank in the world. This offers our clients access to world class research, investments and resources. Our clients enjoy personal attention and bespoke service from advisors who have decades of experience working with high-net-worth individuals, families and nonprofits.
RBC Wealth Management supports nonprofits through the RBC Foundation. In 2023, the Foundation awarded more than 3,000 grants and donations totaling more than $2.8 million.
Our nonprofit clients that meet the RBC Foundation giving guidelines may have the opportunity to apply for one of the RBC grants.
With our focus on philanthropy – both personally and as an organization – we collaborate with individual investors that share our commitment to improving communities. Often, we have been able to match our clients with nonprofits in their specific area of interest, creating long-lasting, impactful, and mutually beneficial relationships. In addition, as part our commitment to supporting and giving back, we offer our nonprofit clients discounted fees so more of your funds are available for the important work you do. This work is personal. Growing up, my parents made sure we did our share of volunteering. Now it’s incredibly rewarding to use my financial expertise to ensure our nonprofit partners can meet their missions. The work I’ve done for nonprofits -- both as a professional and a volunteer -- is my greatest source of pride.
Richard Schaefer
Through serving on nonprofit boards, I’ve seen the need for financial expertise and guidance. I’ve been able to advise boards how to improve their financial reporting and long-term financial planning. I’m grateful to be able to use my skills to help organizations that are helping others. - Gustavo Corte
